David Morten Jentoft

Mr. David Morten Jentoft, age 88, passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2025, in Meridian, Mississippi. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the funeral arrangements.

Born in Stamford, CT to Otto and Vera Jentoft, David grew up in the town of Darien, Connecticut and attended Darien High School with the class of 1955.  It was in Darien that he met his wife, Mary, to whom he was married to for 65 years. David attended West Virginia Wesleyan College.  David is a US Air Force veteran.  He and Mary moved to Georgia in 1964 where David spent a career working in laboratory equipment sales and service with Sorvall, DuPont and Marsh Biomedical.  He served as an Elder at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church for many years.David was also a passionate golfer. He was a fantastic father who never missed a game, a scout trip or a school event.

Mr. David is survived by his loving wife, Mary Jentoft; two children, Richard Jentoft (Sue) and Heidi Ames (Johnnie); grandchildren, Randy Jentoft (Yukari) and Brittany Jentoft, and great-grandchildren, Caden, Olivia, Mason, Miles, Michaela, Michael, and Leo.

Mr. Jentoft is preceded in death by his parents, Otto and Vera Jentoft and brother, 1st LT Richard Jentoft, US Army.
