Graveside services for Mr. David “Mike” Richardson will begin at 1:00 PM Thursday, June 25, 2026, at Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Bob Followell officiating. Interment will follow graveside rites. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.
Mr. Richardson, 80, of the Center Hill Community, died Monday, June 22, 2026, at his home surrounded by his family following an extended illness.
Mike, as he was known by family and close friends, was born in the Center Hill Community of Lauderdale County and attended Center Hill School. He worked as a surveyor with the MS Dept of Transportation for five years. He married the love of his life, Judy, after her senior trip, and spent over 60 years together. They moved to Escatawpa, MS and he began working at Ingalls Shipyard as an electrician; this career spanned 37 years. In his retirement, he enjoyed hunting, and golfing, his most favorite hobby being spending time with his family.
Mike is survived by his wife, Judy; their children, David Richardson (Amy), Jeffrey Richardson, and Bradley Richardson (Lorena); grandchildren, Kevinn Richardson, Brandon Richardson (Katie), Jonathann Richardson, Loren Wade (Mase), Jade Richardson, and Lindsey Richardson; great-grandchildren, Rivers Wade, Remmi Wade, Bexton Richardson, and Kohen Richardson; his siblings, Larry Richardson (Margaret), and Diane Singleton; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Mike is preceded in death by his parents, Carnell and Nerene Richardson; his grandson, Blake Richardson; and his three brothers.
Pallbearers will be David Richardson, Jeffrey Richardson, Bradley Richardson, Kevinn Richardson, Brandon Richardson, and Jonathann Richardson.
