David Wayne Speed Funeral services for David Speed will be held Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Gib Prince and Reverend Kenny McGill officiating. Mr. Speed, age 57, of Daleville, passed away Saturday, October 17, 2015 at Anderson Regional Medical Center. David was a well-known master electrician in the Meridian area for many years. He enjoyed hunting and archery. He was a member of Andrew Chapel United Methodist Church. David was a loving husband, father, brother, friend, and soon to be grandfather. He will be dearly missed by all that knew him. Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Ruth Speed; son, Jason Speed and wife, Jessica; granddaughter, Aurora Leigh Speed; brothers, Rusty Speed and wife, Michelle, Michael Speed and wife, Edie; sister, Kathy Griffin and husband, Kevin; mother-in-law, Bonnie McWilliams; sister-in-law, Jeanne McWilliams; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Speed and Betty Woodrick; father-in-law, James McWilliams; and step-father, Wayne Woodrick. The family request memorials be made to Love's Kitchen or Gideon's International. Visitation will be held Monday, October 19, 2015 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home.
