Services for David Byron Stanton will be held Thursday, August 8, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at First Christian Church with Dr. Tom Sikes and Reverend Lea McCracken officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mr. Stanton, age 52, of Meridian, died Sunday, August 4, 2013 at his residence. He was a graduate of Meridian High School and earned his Associates Degree from Meridian Community College. David worked as a prosthetic craftsman, and he also served in the Army National Guard. His hobbies included gardening, welding, building, hunting, fishing, and he enjoyed the outdoors. David will be remembered as a loving and kind man and he touched the lives of many. Survivors include his mother, Kay Stanton of Meridian; sisters, Lisa Craft and husband, Craig of Hattiesburg; and Leigh Ann Peden and husband, Carl of Meridian; nephews, Kyle and Kevin Craft; and nieces, Destinee May and Lauren May. He was preceded in death by his father, W.W. Toby Stanton. The family request memorial be made to the First Christian Church Building Fund. Pallbearers will be the church Elders.
