Celebration of life services for Mrs. Debra “Debbie” Hayes Woodall will begin at 2:30 pm Saturday, July 18, 2020 at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home with the Reverends Dr. Raymon Leake and Doug Goodman officiating. Interment will follow at Ford Memorial Gardens at Bucatunna Baptist Church in Clarke County, 10806 C.R. 514, Meridian, MS 39301. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.
Mrs. Woodall, 63, of Meridian, passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Debbie enjoyed many years of serving the Lord at her beloved Bucatunna Baptist Church where she joined at the age of ten and served along-side Charlie until the Lord took her home. She was mentored over the years by so many saints, that made such a difference in her walk with Christ. Special to her heart were the “Primetimers” who gave her so much joy.
Debbie leaves behind the love of her life, soulmate, and devoted husband of 35 years, Charles “Charlie” Woodall. She leaves behind so may incredible memories of their years together. She is survived by her beloved son Jonathan, and two wonderful step-children, Chad Woodall and Christy Holyfield (Lance); two precious grandchildren, Christian and Reid Holyfield. Parents, Sylvia McCoy and Franklin Hayes (Ann). Her siblings, Donald “Donnie” Hayes (Debbie) and Melissa Swanner (Rickey). Sisters-in-law, Lynda Woodall, Brenda Easterwood; brother-in-law, Danny Woodall (Annette). Nieces, Madeline Hayes Lemings (Tyler), Cathy Lee Joiner (Miles), Jamie Smith (Justin), Danielle Love (Nick); nephews, Jason Swanner and Jeff Swanner (Shea).
She leaves behind the precious people in the communities of Snell, Energy, and Causeyville that surround her home and abound with precious friends and neighbors and make up the surrounding churches who prayed for her and loved on her during the six and a half years that she dealt with cancer.
Debbie also leaves behind an extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins who she loved so dearly. She leaves behind her sweet flower class and special friend, Benny Harrison, whose incredible talent provided endless creation of floral designs enjoyed by many over the years. Another extended family she leaves behind is the McDaniel Family, Stephen, Tony and Kathy. In 1981 Debbie took a job with the McDaniel Family at Industrial Electric Motor Works in Meridian, MS, this turned into an almost 40 year career, that was shortened by the cancer battle. It was incredibly rewarding career for her; she truly loved her job, her customers, vendors, and co-workers who were like family for many years.
One of the joys of her life was piano playing, and she used this talent for the Lord at every opportunity.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Bucatunna Baptist Church Building Fund, 10806 C.R. 514 Meridian, MS 39301; University of Washington Merkel Cell Research- Dr. Paul Nghiem UW Dermatology 850 Republican St. Brotman Bldg Rm 242 Box 358050, Seattle, WA 98109; or to the American Cancer Society.
Pallbearers will be Gavin Moffett, Danny Woodall, Rickey Swanner, Paul Sims, Lee Kennedy, Paul Mosley, and John Taylor. Honorary Pallbearers will be the employees of Industrial Electric Motor Works.
The Woodall family will receive guests from 12:30 pm until 2:15 pm prior to funeral rites. Facial coverings are required prior to admittance into the funeral home.
