Funeral Services for Mrs. Delma Curtis will be held Friday, December 19, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Central United Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. Scott Wright officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM at the church prior to services. Interment will follow at Magnolia Cemetery. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.
Mrs. Delma Curtis, age 100, of Meridian, MS passed away Sunday, December 14, 2025, at The Preserve.
Delma Curtis was a Christian believer and follower of Jesus Christ. She spent her childhood and youth years in Toomsuba, Mississippi with her parents and two sisters, graduating from the old Dixie High School in a class of twelve. She later moved to Meridian with her family, attending Meridian Junior College and working for Mississippi Power Company. She and her husband, Charlie, were married on May 20, 1952, at Fifteenth Avenue Baptist Church. They were members of Central United Methodist Church and were married 48 years until his death in 1998. Later in her career, she served as secretary at West Hills Elementary School and administrative assistant at Central Methodist. She was a loving and loved daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend to many; living her life to serve others and serve God.
She is survived by her children, Charles A. Curtis III (Kathryn), Susan Harrison (Cliff), and Carol Hunter (Brooks), grandchildren, Brett Curtis (Anne), Allen Curtis (Whitney), and John Ford Harrison, great-grandchildren, Lucy Curtis, Cora Curtis, George Curtis, Charles Curtis, and Caroline Curtis.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charles A. Curtis Jr., parents, Emory and Clara Ford, sisters, Virginia Hankins and Ann McDonald.
Pallbearers will be Brett Curtis, Allen Curtis, John Ford Harrison, and Cliff Harrison.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Central United Methodist Church.
