Delois "Lois" Creel Rawson Mccary

Funeral services for Ms. Delois “Lois” Creel Rawson McCary will begin at 1:00pm Monday, April 29, 2019 at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home chapel with the Reverends Derrick Wilson, Paul Harris and Dr. Kevin Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Long Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Ms. McCary, 79, of Meridian, passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at Anderson Regional Medical Center.

Ms. McCary was a devoted wife, loving mother, and “Nanny.” She was also a longtime member of Faith Baptist Church; she especially loved serving the Lord through her cooking and mission work with Builders for Christ.

Survivors include children, Robby Rawson (Angela), Randy Rawson (Trish), and Darlene Ortego (Jason).   Grandchildren, Tiffany Canterbury (Jason), Amy Rawson, Rebecca Smith, Anthony Rawson, Amanda Taylor (Patrick), Randall Wright (Olivia), Britney Rawson, Madelyn Threatt, J.P. Ortego and eight great-grandchildren. Siblings, Mildred McCary (R.C.), Sam Martin, Ruth Tucker (Jerry); sisters-in-law Sarah Creel and Marilyn Creel as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Ms. Lois is preceded in death by husbands, Robert Rawson and Austin McCary; parents, Horace and Ethel Creel. Siblings, Cebron Creel, Marvin Creel, Albert Creel, and Jesse Creel.

Pallbearers will be Anthony Rawson, Randall Wright, Jason Canterbury, Patrick Taylor, Bobby Faerber and Rusty Speed.

The family requests that memorials be made to the Faith Baptist Church building fund in lieu of flowers.
