Services for Deloris M. Wilkerson will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Daleville Methodist Church with Dr. W.D. Pigott, Reverend Gerald Chaney, and Reverend Vickie Gladding officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Wilkerson, 85, of Daleville, died Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at Anderson Regional Medical Center. She was Chief Clerk for Superintendant of Terminals for Norfolk Southern Railroad for 30 years. She was also a faithful member of Daleville Methodist Church for over 65 years. Survivors include her son, Jerry Wilkerson and his wife Sherry Wilkerson of Madison, grandson, Steve Wilkerson, and his wife Rena, of Daleville, granddaughter, Peppi Hatcher and her husband Kevin of Daleville, great grandchildren, Tara and Leo Wilkerson, Leslie and Madison Hatcher, step grandchildren, John Mitchell of Madison, and JoAnna Rayner of Madison, step greatgrandchildren, John Mackey Mitchell, Guy and Christian Rayner and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Wilkerson, parents, Roscoe and Martha McCarty, brother, William McCarty and sister, Clarice Hurt, and her infant daughter. Pallbearers will be Charles Brett, Dan Holland, Charles Mosby, Greg Davis, Scott Sanders, Scott McCarty, and Otis Doss. Honorary Pallbearer will be Ed York. In Lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the National Breast Cancer Organization. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at the church.
