Memorial services for Mr. Dennis Gray Burkhalter will begin at 1:00 pm Saturday, November 21, 2020 at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home chapel. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Mr. Burkhalter, 65, of Benndale, Mississippi, died November 7, 2020, at his daughter’s home in Sumrall, Mississippi

Dennis was born December 21, 1954, in Meridian, Mississippi, a son of the late Jack Burkhalter and Gay Ruth Churchwell. He was reared in Meridian and graduated from Southeast Lauderdale High School. He was a sergeant in the United States Marine Corps and was very proud of his service. He loved to collect antiques, and owned a flea market in Lucedale, MS for several years.

Survivors include his children Stephanie Graham (Derek) of Sumrall, Brandy Hutchinson (Shad) of Meridian, Patrick Burkhalter (Jaclyn) of Evansville, Indiana, Shawn Burkhalter (Stacy) of Meridian, Shannon Mott (Vernon) of Collinsville, and Shelly St. German (Stephen) of Schriever, Louisiana. He is also survived by his brother Davis Burkhalter (Sharon), of Springhill, Tennessee; his step-father Jay Churchwell of Lucedale, MS; and his special friend Juanita Casey of Benndale, MS; as well as many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father Jack Burkhalter; his mother Gay Ruth Churchwell, and his grandparents Mr. And Mrs. J.B. Gill and Mr. And Mrs. John P. Burkhalter.
