Dennis Ray Rodgers

Funeral services for Dennis Ray Rodgers will be held Sunday, February 26, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend A.M. Mansfield and Reverend Tommy Espey officiating. Burial will be held Monday, February 27, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the Mississippi Veterans Memorial in Newton with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Rodgers, age 84, of Meridian passed away Thursday, February 23, 2017 at Andersons Hospital.

He was a member of the Abundant Life Tabernacle.

Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Charlotte Rodgers; children, Tim Rodgers (Johna), Joey Rodgers (Pam), Renee Covert (Tim), Jimmy Secrist (Dawn), Kevin Secrist (Sherri); grandchildren, Deryck Rodgers (Ashley), Nicholas Rodgers (Rachael), Amber Estes (John Alan), Brandon Rodgers (Holly), Christopher Rodgers (Rachael), Hollie Barber (Chris), Kacy Aubic (Jack), Haley Coffman (Justin), Kelly Covert, Sheena Secrist, Christian Shows, Tyler Shows, Haley Anna Secrist, Joseph Secrist (Ruth), and Deserae Secrist; great-grandchildren, Jackson Rodgers, Grayson Rodgers, Adahle Estes, Porter Estes, Kam Rodgers, Kade Rodgers, Karter Rodgers, Olive Rodgers, Banner Rodgers, Joshua Secrist, and, Wyatt Coffman, who’s on the way in April; brothers, Nelson L. Rodgers, Jimmie D. Rodgers, and Roy Rodgers; sister, Carolyn Riggs.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie Lee and Vera Rodgers; grandson, Joshua Secrist; brothers, Roger L. Rodgers, J.E. Rodgers, and Bobby Rodgers; sisters, Maxine Worley, and Lavera Roberts.

Pallbearers will be Deryck Rodgers, Brandon Rodgers, and Christopher Rodgers, Reverend Larry Melton, Reverend Rodney Baker, and Buddy Cooksey.
