Denny Curtis Vick

Graveside services for Mr. Denny Curtis Vick will begin at 10:30 AM Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at Bethel Southern Methodist Church Cemetery in Bailey with Dr. Robert “Bob” Dominy officiating. Interment will follow graveside rites. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Mr. Vick, 65, of Bailey, died Monday, August 4, 2025, at Baptist Anderson Regional Medical Center following a brief cardiac illness.

Denny enjoyed working in several fields over the years, his most favorite was serving as a Plane Captain at NAS Meridian. He worked with Deviney Construction, Van Zyverden, Okatibbee Reservoir as a Park Ranger, Lake Shore Studios, and CAVCO Supply. He was an avid angler and fished daily, he loved fishing any chance he could. He also enjoyed a well-manicured lawn and immaculate flower gardens. In his youth he sang with the Young Christians Vocal Group based out of Liberty Baptist Church in DeKalb. His friends and family will always remember Denny, who was affectionally referred to as Stick or Denny Boy, as kindhearted and generous.

Denny is survived by his father, Ben Vick; his step-children, Kyle Wilbanks (Leeann) and Natalie Zabinski; his sisters, Janet Doner (Tim), Sharon Alexander (Starling), and Sandy Murphy (Bruce); as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Mr. Vick is preceded in death by his wife, Donna Wilbanks Vick; and his mother, Sandra Wilkinson Vick.

Pallbearers will be Kyle Wilbanks, Caleb Alexander, Jared Doner, Jeff Walters, Andrew Lee, and Buck Pace. Honorary Pallbearers will be Drew Murphy, Colby Murphy, Brandal Townsend, Matt Tucker, and David Walters.

The Vick Family suggests memorials be made as donations to Bethel Southern Methodist Cemetery Fund in lieu of flowers.
