A memorial service for Dewana Kay Dellaria will be held on Friday, May 22, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. at Northcrest Baptist Church in Meridian, MS with Dr. Wade Phillips officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the memorial. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.
Mrs. Dewana Kay Dellaria, age 71, of Meridian, Mississippi passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at Ochsner Rush Medical Center.
Dewana was born in Jackson, Mississippi on September 9th, 1954 to biological parents Hayden Spivey and Clara Nell Ingram Gipson. At the age of fifteen months, she was adopted by Harry and Pauline Williams Herrington. Her childhood was spent in Lumberton, MS. The family later moved to Newton, MS where she graduated from Newton High School. She pursued higher learning at East Central Community College, earning a degree in Cosmetology. She married James Ollie Buntyn, Jr. with the union producing two children, Allena Kay and James Kirk.
She later married her husband Louis Edward Dellaria in February 1994. She held jobs in medical coding and billing for the last 30 years, most notably at Temple Orthotics in Meridian. Her hobbies included the creation of floral arrangements, as well as spending time with her family and many close friends. Dewana passed onto her Heavenly home on Tuesday, May 19th at Ochsner-Rush Hospital in Meridian.
Dewana was preceded in death by both her biological and adoptive parents, as well as her son Kirk.
She is survived by her loving husband, Louis; sisters, Barbara Tucker, Linda (Charlie) Campbell, Shirley (Chuck) Busby, brother Tommy (Terri) Underwood; daughters, Allena (David) Brown of Chunky, and Amy (Ian) Ryals of Warner Robins, GA; son, Steven Dellaria of Decatur, MS; grandchildren, River Carter of Carthage, Leto Drury and Isabella Brown, both of Chunky, Sarah, Annikah, and Zakari Ryals, of Warner Robins, GA; one great-granddaughter Rilynn Kayte Carter, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
