A funeral mass for Mr. Dewayne Klutz will be held on Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church. Father Augustine Palimattam will officiate the service. Burial will be held at St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Mr. Klutz, 83, of Meridian passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at Rush Foundation Hospital.
Mr. Klutz served his country in the United States Army, serving two tours in Vietnam, and then after twenty years, he retired and became a JROTC instructor for an additional twenty years. Mr. Klutz was a security guard for the Texas Rangers baseball team. He was also an active member of the Catholic community of Meridian and a third and fourth degree member of the Knights of Columbus. Mr. Klutz was a weekly, faithful volunteer at the Wednesday night Knights of Columbus Bingo; he never missed an East Mississippi Hospital visit; and he was active in many other community activities.
He is survived by his sons, Paul Klutz and David (Sandra) Klutz; daughter, Betty Sue; grandchildren, Peter, Kelly, Cari, Jennifer, Daniel, and Cassandra; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Doris Rosalie Klutz, his sons, Donnie Klutz and Randy Klutz, his parents, and several siblings.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 29, 2019 from 5:00 until 6:30 p.m. with a rosary from 6:30 until 7:00 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home.
