Dewayne Walker

Funeral Services for Mr. Dewayne Walker will be held Monday, March 26, 2018 at 12:30pm at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home with Brother Calvin Price officiating. Burial will follow the service at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Mr. Walker, age 74, of Meridian, passed away Friday, March 23, 2018, at University of Alabama Birmingham Medical Center.

After graduating from high school in Warner Robins, GA, Dewayne graduated from Massey Business College in Atlanta and began a career with Gold Kist Farmers’ Cooperative in Atlanta, GA and retired with 35 years. While employed with Gold Kist, he worked with the Sunbelt Agriculture Expo in Moultrie, GA. After retiring from Gold Kist, he continued to work with Sunbelt Expo for seventeen years.

Mr. Walker was a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church of Meridian.

Survivors include his wife of thirty-three years, Jill Grant Walker; one daughter, Ronda Walker of Chattanooga, TN; one son, Michael Walker, wife Tammy, of Chattanooga, TN; two granddaughters, Crystal and Erica Walker, of Chattanooga, TN; two sisters, Elaine Belk, husband, Wesley, of Tifton, GA and Aileen Walker, of Cumming, GA; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude Green and Lillie Belle Jernigan Walker.
