Dona Burrell Ivey

Memorial services for Mrs. Dona Burrell Ivey will begin at 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 27, 2018 at Community Seventh Day Adventist Church of Meridian with Elder Roger Burke officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Ivey, 61, of Meridian, passed away Sunday, April 22, 2018 at Anderson Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Ivey was an educator with the Gulf States Conference of Seventh Day Adventists for over 35 years. She was a graduate of Huntingdon College; and she received her master’s degree from Southern Adventists University.

She is survived by her stepsons, Josh (Stephanie) Ivey and William Clayton Ivey; and god-daughter, Celesta (Raul) Espinosa. Grandchildren, Samantha Ivey, John (Kayla) Ivey, Taylor Ivey, Emily Ivey, Sophia Espinosa, Elena Espinosa and Levi Espinosa. Sisters in law, Elizabeth Ivey, Mo (Mike) White; Brother in law, James S. (Catherine) Ivey, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Alvin Ivey and her parents.

The family request that donations be made to the Community Christian School in lieu of flowers.
