Donald "Don" R. Hawkins Donald "Don" R. Hawkins, 68, of Meridian passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2014, at University Medical Center in Jackson. Mr. Hawkins was retired as a Lt. Colonel from the 185th Army Guard. He was the owner of Hawk Fiberglass Company. Survivors include his wife, Donna Hawkins of Meridian; daughter, Jennifer Craft and husband, Richard of Fayetteville, Tennessee; step-sons, Steve Harris and James Sean Harris both of Meridian; grandchildren, Emily Craft, Lauren Craft, Kim Jordan, Matt Harris, and Chris Harris; great-grandson, Brayden Jordan; sisters, Mary Lou Clifford and husband, Jerry and Ellie Florack and husband, Art; brothers, Larry Hawkins and wife, Marg, John Hawkins and wife, Gretchen; father-in-law and mother-in-law James and Helen Smith; sister-in-laws, Trisha Harper and husband, Jimmy and Nita Thompson and husband, Kevin; numerous nieces and nephews and best friend, Sandy Herron. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilford and Margaret Hawkins. The family requests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
