Donald "Don" Sylvester Mcwilliams, Jr.

Memorial services celebrating the life of Mr. Donald Sylvester “Don” McWilliams, Jr. will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 4, 2023, with the Reverend Dr. John Temple officiating. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Donald (Don) McWilliams passed away on January 13th, 2023 at the age of 67 at his home in Springfield, MO.

Don was born in Biloxi, MS on April 11, 1955 to Donald S. McWilliams Sr. and Geraldine Vick McWilliams.

He was preceded in death by his Mother Geraldine Vick NcWilliams, nephews Donnie McWillams and John Ross McWilliams. He is survived by his Father Donald McWilliams Sr, his wife of 46 years Janet Hoyt McWilliams, his 4 children: Hailey (Chris) Moriarty, Kelly (Robert) Lister, Kevin McWilliams and Stefan (Rachel) McWillams; his 11 beloved grandchildren: Kami, Riley, Abi, Maddy, Ashlyn, Chase, Rylan, Kinley, Gunner, Colin, and Emilia. His brothers Harry (LeAnna), Jeff (Kim) and Jerry (Ashley). He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, all of whom he was very close to.

Don spent his career in banking software and retired from Jack Henry and Associates. In his spare time he enjoyed flying his drones, going off-roading, camping, working in his yard. But his greatest pleasure was spending time with his family. From an early age he learned that family was everything and he followed that belief throughout his life.

Don also loved to travel, perhaps because he was raised as a Military brat as his father was career Air Force. He graduated from Lakenheath High School in England and still has friends there and all around the country.

Don was a people person who never met a stranger. He loved to talk, and had many stories about growing up, especially his high school days in England.
