Donald Leroy Gray

Donald L. Gray, 81, died Aug. 25, 2019, after an accident at a train crossing in Meridian, MS.

His final internment with military honors will be held at the Mississippi Veterans Memorial Cemetery (258 Honors Circle, Newton, MS 39345) at 10 AM on Thursday Sept. 26 ^th.

Mr. Gray was born Feb. 24 1938, in Lodi, OH to Leo and Ruth Lucretia Gray. Don was known as an expert in sheet metal fabrication and blow pipe design. Don could generally engineer just about anything out of metal.

Mr. Gray served in the United State Navy, as an Aviation Structural Engineer.

He worked many years for Design Metals and then ran his own sheet metal fabrication business, Design Fabricators and taught welding at Meridian Community College until he retired. Mr. Gray is survived by his daughter, Shawn; son, Ryan; and grandkids, Candace, Stephanie, Eric, Penly, and Laurel.
