Funeral services for Mr. Donald L. Huffman will begin at 2:30 pm Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home chapel with the Reverend Bob Followell officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Mr. Huffman, 88, of Meridian passed away Saturday, March 14, 2020 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Donald retired from the U. S. Navy as a Chief Petty Officer after over 20 years. Following his military career he worked for over 20 years with the Southern Railroad Company as a conductor. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who enjoyed spending time outdoors whenever possible. He was affectionately known as “Pawpaw” and “Poppy” by his grandchildren.

Mr. Huffman is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Neoma Huffman; children, Cindy Yelverton, Thomas Huffman (Fabiola), Harriet Huffman. Grandchildren, Erica Yelverton, Brent Kimble, Jackie Kelly, Brooks Kimble, Britney Concepcion. Great-grandchildren, Chloe Yelverton, Caleb Yelverton, Drew Kelly, Jaxon Kelly, Kimble Kelly, Kinzlee Concepcion, and Hendrix Thomas. Sisters, Mary Byrum, and Geniece Hefner as well as a host of nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Mr. Donald is preceded in death by his daughter, Donna Kimble; parents, Franklin and Florena Huffman. Grandson, Sean Barringer; siblings Elroyce Huffman, and Pauline Osborne.

Pallbearers will be Danny Matthews, Tommy Spears, Brent Kimble, Brooks Kimble, Blake Thomas, and Milton Mowdy.
