Donald E. Tanner Services for Donald E. Tanner will be held Friday, January 31, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Bill Webb officiating. Burial will be in Mt. View Baptist Church Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mr. Tanner, age 75, of Meridian, died Sunday, January 26, 2014 in Little Rock, AR. He was retired from the U.S. Navy and was a Vietnam vet. Donald also retired from Lockheed Aircraft and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of forty-seven years, Peggy Tanner of Maumelle, AR; sons, Donald Eugene Tanner, Jr. of KY, Martin Douglas Tanner and wife, Jackie of Maumelle, AR, and William Ralph Tanner and wife, Christina of Bishop, TX; grandchildren, Darby Hall Tanner, Tate Richardson Tanner, A.J. Tanner, Donald Eugene Tanner, III, Daniel Tanner, and Elisheba Tanner; sister, Carolyn Kozman of Meridian; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Katherine and Bennie M. Tanner; sister, Wilma Joyce Tanner; and brother, Bennie Martin Tanner, Jr. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to New Hope Baptist Church Building Fund. Pallbearers will be Donald Eugene Tanner, Jr., Martin Douglas Tanner, William Ralph Tanner, Tate Tanner, A.J. Tanner, and Gerald Crawford.
