Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, June 2, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church with Father Matthew Simmons and Father Dan Reardon officiating. Burial will be Friday, June 3, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Pine Rest Memorial Park in Foley, Alabama with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Donna Sue Burnett Freyaldenhoven, a mere 56 years young, of Meridian, MS left this world on Sunday, May 29, 2016 at 5:19 p.m. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Meridian, MS and frequently attended Our Lady of the Gulf in Gulf Shores, AL.

She was born in West Memphis, AR, on July 2, 1959, to the late Don and Patti Burnett. Donna graduated from Hutchison School in Memphis, TN, received an associate’s degree from Southern Seminary Junior College, and a bachelor’s degree in Agriculture from the University of Arkansas in 1982. She was the Food Service Director for Meridian Public Schools. She was set to retire at the end of June this year after 28 years of service with the state. She married Chris on August 9, 1986 and they were about to celebrate 30 years together.

Donna was a beloved mother and wife.  Family and friends were the passion and delight of her life.  She loved to be surrounded by people and would constantly entertain and host parties at their homes. The coast was her favorite place to be and she made a point to be there as often as she could.  She loved to travel and was frequently planning family vacations, always looking for "a good deal."  She lived a full life; a life well-traveled, a life well-lived, and a life full of love—love she gave and love she received.  She had a beautiful spirit and loved every person and animal she ever met.  She brought so much joy to her loved ones by sharing "little happys" with them over the years.

Donna loved her husband and he loved her back so much.  She loved her children.  She loved us all unconditionally.

She is survived by her husband Chris Freyaldenhoven, by her three children; Hallie Freyaldenhoven of Little Rock, AR, Andy Freyaldenhoven of Meridian, MS, Maggie Freyaldenhoven of Pensacola, FL, and her sister, Susan Burnett of Little Rock, AR.

The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to the medical personnel of Anderson Regional Medical Center for the faithful and devoted care they gave to Donna.
