Donna Sue Mckissack

Funeral services for Donna Sue McKissack will be held Saturday, April 28, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Johnny Smith officiating with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. McKissack, age 71, of Meridian, passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at Rush Foundation Hospital.

Donna enjoyed sewing, crocheting, quilting, cooking, baking and interior decorating. She also loved animals. Donna was an Avon Representative, a 4H Leader, and a Certified Nursing Assistant. Donna loved her family and will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother.

Survivors include her children, Clay McKissack (David), Jason McKissack (Melissa), and Leigh Ann Garrett; grandchildren, Conner Moheb, Savannah McKissack, Braley McKissack, Kendall Nance, and Cannon Garrett; brother, Judge Mike W. Nelson; sister, Betty Anne Lusk; 2 aunts, 1 uncle, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father, William Woodrow Nelson (Martha); mother, Virginia Katherine Woods; and nephew, Billy Lacey.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to East Mississippi Animal Rescue, 2440 North Hills Street – Suite 105-107, Meridian, MS 39305.

Visitation will be held Friday, April 27, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Saturday, April 28 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with service to follow.
