Donald “Donnie” Griffin

Funeral services for Donnie Griffin will be held Wednesday, March 9, 2016, 11:30 a.m., at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home, with Reverend Tim Chennault and Dr. Rory Lee officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Mr. Griffin, 58, of Pearl, formerly of Meridian, passed away March 5 at St. Dominic’s Hospital.

Donnie served the Lord as a houseparent for the Baptist Children’s Village, where he was a father figure to many. He was loved and adored by the children there, and will be deeply missed. Prior to being called to Baptist Children’s Village, he was employed at Industrial Specialty Company in Meridian. Donnie was passionate about anything and everything Ole Miss. He was a member of Ellison Ridge Baptist Church in Louisville, Mississippi.

Donnie is survived by his wife of nineteen years, Judy; step-sister-in-law, Darlene Thompson; step-brother-in-law, Lee Harvey; step-mother-in-law, Rachel Clark; many cousins and other extended family.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made in his honor to the Baptist Children’s Village, PO Box 27, Clinton, MS 39060.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 8 from 5pm-7pm at the funeral home.
