Mrs. Rawson, 75, of Meridian, died Sunday February 13, 2011 at Anderson Regional Medical Center.
She will be remembered as a loving mother, wonderful wife and a caring grandmother.
Survivors include her husband of 41 years, Rufus Rawson; children, James Rawson and his wife Leah, Sally Meadows and her husband Elson, Betty McCary and her husband Billy; grandchildren, Danielle and Dillon Faile, Courtney Meadows, Logan and Landon Rawson; step grandchildren, Cody McCary and Jordan McCary.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Jimmie Covington; sisters, Martha Lambert, Sarah Cowan, Genevieve Darby and Joann Irby; brothers, Bill Covington and Jim Covington.
Pallbearers will be Stanley Rawson, Larry Dean, D.L. Jones, Terry Joe Irby, Dave Irby, Jeff Darby, Steve Dyess, and Stephen Dyess.
The family requests memorials be made to Andersons Cancer Benevolence Fund or the Mississippi Alzheimer’s Association.
