Doris Goodin Culberson

Funeral services for Mrs. Doris G. Culberson will be held on Sunday, November 17, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home, with the Reverends A.M. Mansfield, Rodney Baker and Matthew Stokley officiating. Burial will be held at Bluff Springs Cemetery. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Mrs. Culberson, age 80, of Meridian passed away on Thursday, November 14, 2019 at North Pointe Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Mrs. Culberson was a faithful member of Abundant Life Tabernacle. She worked for East Mississippi State Hospital for seventeen years. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, “gran-gran,” church member, and friend. Mrs. Culberson had an infectious smile, always willing to encourage others. She enjoyed taking care of others, and she could cook almost anything, especially her fried chicken.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Kay Guy (Keith); granddaughters, Angela Horton (Greg), Julie Cade (Tim), Amanda Culberson, and Amber Brune (Jeffery); great-grandchildren, Daylon, Ainsley, and Davin Horton, Ava and Cooper Cade, Austin and Savanna Schorghofer, Bryson Tucker, and Blake, Damien, and Ryleigh Triplett; siblings, Dorothy Picardi, Elowese Sullivan, Jimmy Goodin, Bobbie Roberson, and her sister by choice, Diane Lewis; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Culberson; one son, Randal Culberson; and one grandson, Christopher Culberson.

In addition to flowers, the family requests memorials to be made to The Gideon’s International.

Pallbearers will be Kay Guy, Keith Guy, Angela Horton, Julie Cade, Greg Horton, Tim Cade, Jason Adams, and Ricky Adams.
