Doris "Dot" Harrington

Funeral services for Mrs. Doris “Dot” Harrington will be Tuesday, November 13 at 2:00 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home with Dr. John Temple and The Reverend Morris K. Thompson III officiating. Burial will follow at Magnolia Cemetery in Meridian. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Mrs. Doris Harrington, age 90, passed away Saturday, November 10 at Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian.

Mrs. Harrington was born in Carthage, Mississippi.  She was married to the late E.V. Harrington, Jr. The couple moved to Meridian in the 1950s .  She was a long-time member of Poplar Springs Drive Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday school teacher.  She enjoyed cooking and gardening.  She also loved to travel.  She was the owner of The Garden Patch.

Mrs. Harrington is survived by her daughter, Karen Pace; her son, Vann Harrington III; and three grandchildren, Lucy Newman, Margaret McGuffee (Steven), and Vann Harrington IV.

Mrs. Harrington was preceded in death by her husband, E.V. Harrington, Jr.

Pallbearers will be Vann Harrington IV, Steven McGuffee , Wayne Pace, Jeremy Miller, Fred Brashier , and Tommy Dale Gunn.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be shared with Poplar Springs Drive Baptist Church.

The family would like to thank Mrs. Harrington's caregiver, Lula Randolph, for her special care and compassion.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 13 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home.
