Services for Doris Ann Hopson will be held Saturday, August 25, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at Tomola Church of God, with Pastor Willie J. Jefferson officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Hopson, 47, of Meridian died Friday, August 17, 2012, at her residence. She attended East Kemper School and graduated in 1983. Upon her graduation she attended the nursing program at Meridian Community College where she received her Licensed Practical Nursing Degree. In 2004, she earned her associates degree in nursing to become a Registered Nurse. She was a long time employee with Anderson's Hospital where she worked for sixteen years. She was currently employed with Fresenius Medical Care where she was employed for four years. Survivors include her husband Sylvester Hopson of Meridian; sons Londricus Lawann Hopson, Lamario Lavester Hopson, Cameron Sylvester Hopson and Sylvester Jamontae Hopson all of Meridian; mother Ida Mae Boyd; sisters Betty McCarty of Lauderdale, Elaine Lee of Meridian, Winda Lee of Monroe, Louisiana and Arlene Lucky of Chesapeake, Virginia; brothers Wirley Boyd of Lauderdale, Elvis Boyd of Lauderdale, Clyde Boyd of Meridian and Casey Boyd of Meridian.
