Dorothy "Dot" Fairchild Mcfarland

Memorial services for Mrs. Dot McFarland will be held Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 2:30pm at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home with Bro. John Gardener officiating. Burial will be at Suqualena Methodist Church Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. McFarland, age 86, of Meridian passed away Friday, December 23, 2016 at Anderson Regional Medical Center. Ms. McFarland lived in the Nellieburg community all her life. She attended Suqualena High School. She was a member at Westwood Baptist Church. She worked at Lockheed Aircraft until her retirement. She was also a member at the VFW Post 79.

Ms. McFarland is survived by one daughter, Shirley McFarland, one step daughter, Lynn Tew and one step son, Marvin McFarland, also 7 grand-children, Leesa Van Zandt, Tommy McFarland, Christopher Hurdle, Debra Hurdle, Rebekah Hurdle, Sarah Mickles, and Patricia Cavagnaro. Ms. McFarland was also blessed with 18 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her Father and Mother Henry Davis McFarland and Beulah Mae Nichols Fairchild, one son, Thomas Ray McFarland, two brothers, James Fairchild and Willie Fairchild, and one sister, Nettie Earl Reeves.

There will be a meal served following the graveside service and all are invited to attend. The meal will be served at the VFW Post 79 located at 5620 Old Hwy 80 Meridian, MS 39307.
