Burial will be in Jones Chapel Church of God Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Dorothy Hughes, 91, of Meridian died Wednesday, November 13, 2013, at her residence. Dorothy Hughes was gentle, kind, and devoted to Christ, family and friends. Survivors include her children, Gary Busby and wife Sandra, Lynn Watson and husband Randall, Charlotte Cermak, Loretta Hoffer and husband Keith and Steve Hughes and wife Betty; daughter-in-law, Rozelle Hughes; grandchildren, Ken Busby and wife Sonia, Kimberly Jones and husband Alan, Kelly Galambus and husband Tom, Anna Hughes, Amy Hughes, Christopher Cermak, Lauren Hughes, Tyler Hughes, Monica Mitchell and Brian Mitchell; great-grandchildren, Brian Jones, Steven Jones, Elana Galambus, Amanda Galambus, Ava Reese Parker, Garrett Busby, Holly Busby, Jill Busby, Kipper Busby and Simon Busby, and Morgan Grisham;sister, Lois Russell and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wesley and Mary Baggett; husbands, Melton Busby and Garner Hughes; son, Michael Hughes; granddaughter, April Mitchell; siblings, Theo Baggett, Lorene Coleman, Lavern Baggett and daughter-in-law, Mary Busby.
