Dorothy Matlock

Graveside services for Mrs. Dorothy Matlock will be at 10:00 am, Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens with Pastor Ben Stears officiating. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Mrs. Matlock, 88, of Meridian, passed away Saturday, May 25, 2019 at Neshoba County Nursing Home.

Mrs. Dorothy was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved to cook and provide for her family. She was an avid gardener of both flowers and vegetables; she had a green thumb and could grow any and everything. She would often can her harvest for future use for family gatherings and meals. She loved her home and being outdoors. She had a generous and loving spirit.

Mrs. Matlock is survived by her son, Gary Matlock and his wife, Belinda; Grandchildren, Alan Barlow, Meredith Matlock Brooks (Joey) and Wil Matlock. Great-grandchildren, Carly Owen, Hunter Barlow, Zoe Brooks, Coleman Brooks and Lake Brooks as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Mrs. Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, Jesse Benjamin Roberts and Alma Doerner Roberts; husband, James Matlock; and daughter, Judy Burrell. Sisters, Viola Lovett, Lee Berta Hatley, Edna Earl Eshee and Minnie Espey; brothers, Jessie C. Roberts, Willie L. Roberts, James L. Roberts and James Marvin Roberts.
