Dorothy Jean Moore Robinson

A private graveside service for Mrs. Dorothy Robinson will be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2020 at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Dr. Danny Lanier will officiate the service. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Mrs. Robinson, age 86, of Meridian passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2020 at Poplar Springs Nursing Center, after a lengthy illness. The family would like to express their gratitude for the love and care provided by the staff at Poplar Springs.

Mrs. Robinson was a lifelong resident of Meridian and a graduate of Meridian High School. She retired from The Lauderdale County Tax Collectors Office after 30 years of service. Mrs. Robinson, being a devout Christian, was a member of Northcrest Baptist Church. She was a loving and caring wife and mother who was loved by all that knew her.

Survivors include her husband of sixty-eight years, Mr. Robert J. “Bobby” Robinson; son, Mark Robinson (Michelle) of Denham Springs, LA; granddaughter, Stephanie Hamilton (Sage) of Pleasonton, CA; grandson, Caleb Banks of Denham Springs, LA; brother, Lamar Moore, and a special sister-in-law, Daphne Moore; special niece, Heather Smith (Jason) of Mobile, AL; special nephew, Houston Moore (Kacey) of Meridian; and a host of cousins, great nieces, and great nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son Robert “Robby” Robinson, and her parents J.E. and Earline Moore.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Northcrest Baptist Church Missions or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
