Dorothy Jones Rushing Sweeney

Services for Dorothy Jones Rushing Sweeney will be held Monday, March 19, 2018 at 3:00 pm at Concord United Methodist Church with Reverend John Wesley Leek and Reverend James Gordon officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Sweeney died, Saturday, March 17, 2018 in Meridian.

Mrs. Sweeney was a lifelong member of Concord United Methodist Church, where she served as organist until 2010. She was a B. S. Registered Nurse and retired from East MS State Hospital. She will be remembered for her love of her family.

Survivors include her husband, James L. Sweeney, Enterprise, daughter, Marilyn Rowell, (Ricky), Enterprise, granddaughter, Carla Favata, (Chris), and great grandson, Aiden Favata, Hawaii, sister, Linda Richardson, brothers, James H “Sonny” Jones, Millard E. Jones (Margaret), Wayne Jones (Midget), and Ronald Jones, (Shirley) and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. O. Jones, brothers, Charles Ray Jones and Marilyn’s dad, A. R. Rushing.

The family request memorials be made to Concord United Methodist Church.
