Dr. Tucker, 99, of Bailey, died early Friday morning, December 26, 2025, at Baptist Anderson Medical Center in Meridian, following an extended illness.
Dr. Tucker retired as Dean of Academics at East Central Community College in 1991 after a career spanning over 40 years. He was a Deacon and active member of Clarke Venable Baptist Church. After moving to Meridian, He and Mary became active members of 15th Avenue Baptist Church, where they attended as long as their health permitted. He was a passionate gardener and love raising Day Lillies; was a member of the Day Lillie Club. He also enjoyed Crappie Fishing, with Harvey and Robert Trapp, in his spare time; he always kept a full freezer with fish on demand.
Dr. Tucker is survived by his daughter, Beth Tartt (Dr. Stephen); grandchildren, Sarah Hautt (Ben), Michael Tartt (Kelsey), Bonnie White (Corey); great-grandchildren, Harrison, Wyatt, and Boone Hautt; Peyton and Tucker Tartt; and Nora Kate White; his sister, Carol Stamper; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Dr. Tucker is preceded in death by his wife of over 70 years, Mary Vaughan Tucker; his parents, Marvin and Bonnie Tucker; his step-mother, Lou Ella Tucker; his brothers, Milford Tucker and Gene Tucker.
The Tucker Family suggests memorials be made as donations to East Central Community College for the Dr. Bradford J. Tucker Scholarship Fund or to Clarke Venable Baptist Church in lieu of flowers.
