Dr. Charles Lee Wilkinson Services for Dr. Charles Lee Wilkinson will be held Friday, January 7, 2011 at 2:30 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Bob Schwanebeck officiating. Burial and a graveside service will be in the Enterprise Confederate Memorial Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Visitation was held Thursday evening at the funeral home. Dr. Wilkinson, 69, died on Wednesday, January 5, 2011, at Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was born in Memphis, Tennessee and graduated from Meadville High School, in Meadville, Mississippi. Dr. Wilkinson earned a degree in Pharmacy from The University Of Mississippi School Of Pharmacy, and went on to earn his Medical Degree at The University Of Mississippi School Of Medicine. After completing a Pathology Residency at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, he moved to Meridian where he practiced medicine for 37 years. Dr. Wilkinson enjoyed studying the Bible and had a passion for Ole Miss Sports; especially football, basketball and baseball. He was devoted to his family and loyal to his friends and was a member of Gum Log Primitive Baptist Church in Bailey, Mississippi. Survivors include his wife, Millicent Terney Wilkinson; two children Brian Lee Wilkinson and his wife Mary Frances of Meridian and Hope Elyse Wilkinson of Memphis, Tennessee; brother Jerry Ellis Wilkinson and his wife Kay of Madison; sister-in-law, Julie Wilkinson of Ridgeland and two grandchildren Sadie Elyse Wilkinson and Elijah Lee Wilkinson of Meridian. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert Lee Wilkinson, Jr. and his wife Marguerite and by his brother Robert Allen Wilkinson. Pallbearers will be Dr. Irv Martin, Jim Bass, Tommy Jones, Dr. Earl Laird, Dr. Don Davis, Dr. Tommy Greer, Dr. Woody Davis Dr. Bill Billups, Jr., Dr. Bill Billups III and Eli Wilkinson.
