Dwayne Dyess, a free spirit who embraced life with open arms, passed away on Saturday, February 1, 2025, in Meridian, Mississippi. He was a man who found his greatest joys in the simple beauty of the outdoors and the love of his family.
Dwayne's adventurous soul led him to appreciate nature in all its forms-whether it was a quiet morning spent fishing or a walk through the woods. His laughter was infectious, his presence was warm, and his heart was always open to those around him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Marna Dyess, his cherished children; Shawn Dyess, Melissa Dyess, and Connie Dyess; their mother, Vickie Peters Dyess. His legacy lives on in his beloved grandchildren, Reagan Cochran, Kari Dyess, and Brooklyn Dyess, who will always carry his spirit with them. Dwayne is also survived by his dear sisters, Debbie Hamacher and Susan Guidry, and his loving brother, Steven Dyess, as well as many friends and extended family, who will forever remember his kindness and unwavering love.
Dwayne's memory will be honored in the hearts of all who knew him, and his spirit will continue to roam freely in the places he loved most. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages you to spend time in nature, cherish your loved ones, and embrace life with the same adventurous and loving spirit that Dwayne carried with him every day.
