Earl Hoven

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, August 2nd, 2024, at 1:30pm at Brookdale Senior Living, 4555 35th Avenue, Meridian, MS. Internment will be held at 10:30am on Saturday, August 3rd, 2024, at Stave Creek Baptist Church, 3495 AL-69, Jackson, AL. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.

Sidney Earl Hoven of Meridian, MS died on July 30th at his residence at Brookdale Senior Living. Earl was born in Jackson, AL to Emma Morgan Hoven and Atwood Hoven.

He was preceded in death by his three beloved siblings, Gladys Chandler, Esther H. Maxwell and Chester Hoven.

Earl leaves behind two loving children, Kimberly Earle Van Hoven and husband Kenneth Busick and son Eric Van Hoven and wife Andrea. Earl enjoyed his three grandchildren and will be greatly missed by his doting nieces and nephews.

Earl was a US Navy veteran and spent his career as a technician for Western Union and then as an electrician for the City of Meridian. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and was most at home in the great outdoors.
