Earnest "Ernie" Lee Cottrill

A celebration of life for Earnest "Ernie" Lee Cottrill will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at 11:30 a.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home. Brother Andy May will officiate. Following the service, Ernie will be laid to rest at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Mount Clare, West Virginia on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at 1:00 PM. The Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to handle the arrangements.

Ernie Cottrill, age 69, of Riverside, AL, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, November 11, 2024.

He leaves behind a legacy of love and family. He is survived by his devoted wife of 33 years, Jenny Cottrill; his children, Matt Cottrill, Josh Cottrill (Stephanie), Nicki Tyson (Clay), and Kelly Dale (Cory); and his grandchildren, Savannah Cottrill, Thomas Cottrill, Callie Cottrill, Jordyn Cottrill, Charleigh Cottrill, Emma Claire Cottrill, Jack Ellis Tyson, and Wyatt Dale. He was also blessed with great-grandchildren, Liam and Lily Cottrill.

Ernie is lovingly remembered by his siblings, Norman Cottrill (Karen), Peggy Wilson (Alan), and Chris Slayton (Van); as well as a large extended family of nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Avis Cottrill, and his sister, Shirley Alford.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at a visitation on Friday, November 15, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home.
