Edwin (Ed) "The Goat Man" Bradley Funeral services for Ed Bradley will be held Saturday, June 20, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tom Belcher, Rev. Roy Dabbs, Rev. Nick Holden, and Dr. Danny Lanier officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Horeb Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Bradley, age 77, of the Zero Community, passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at Anderson Regional Medical Center. The son of a dairy farmer, he learned the art of farming, the love of animals, and retail sales from his father. He was a man of many skills and talents. He began his career with Mr. Joe Burnett at Burnett Grocery, then was a delivery man for Brookshires Dairy, next he went on to a long career with Senator Glen Deweese and Super Stop Stores. After retiring from Super Stop for one day, he joined Robinson Electric with Mr. Bud Robinson. At the age of 70, he retired again to spend more time taking care of his animals, gardening, and spoiling his granddaughter, Emily Grace. He also served in the Mississippi Army National Guard for nine years. He was a lifelong member of Mt. Horeb Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Jo Ann Napp Bradley; daughters, Monica Ann "Punkin" Bradley and Sonja Bradley Murray and husband, Tim; granddaughter, Emily Grace Murray; brothers, James Bradley (Ernestine) and Larry Bradley (Linda); sister, Hazel Bradley Pickard (Gerald); sister-in-law, Patricia Bradley; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Reuben M. Bradley and Clara Mae Bowden Bradley; brothers, Edward Bradley and Eldon Bradley; and sisters, Ruby Mae Bradley Alexander (Mathe) and Dorothy Bradley Collins (Richard). Pallbearers will be his nephews, Edward M. Bradley, Brian Bradley, Shane Garrett, Berry Alexander, Braxton Boswell, Adam Cline, Gavin Alexander, and Rolando Gonzalez. Honorary pallbearers will be Doug Bradley, Dean Carmichael, Gail Briggs, Nick Bradley, and Doyle Alexander. Family and friends may sign the online guestbook at robertbarhamffh.com.
