Eddice Hodgins Ethridge

Funeral services for Eddice Ethridge will be held Saturday, December 17, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home with Dr. Michael Bird, Rev. Bill Webb and Rev. Wayne Edwards officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Ethridge, age 93, of Meridian passed away Thursday, December 15, 2016 at Anderson Regional Medical Center.

Eddice was a member of Midway Baptist Church for 70 years and was active in the Timothy, Eunice and Lois Sunday school class. She spent many of those years at the church teaching the 9 year old girls Sunday school class and rocking countless babies in the nursery. She volunteered at Riley Memorial Hospital for over 17 years.

She is survived by her children, Brenda Banes (Renny), Michael Ethridge (Joy) and Terrie Ridinger (Walter); grandchildren, Lorie Sloan (Ernie), Dana Tillman (Steve), Kyle Ethridge (Jessica), Caleb Ethridge (Sydney), Deidre Johnson (Brian), Erin Johnson, Drew Ridinger and Anna Kathryn Ridinger; 11 great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Bobbie Ethridge and Carolyn Hodgins; numerous nieces and nephews; and special family friend, Polly Banes.

She was preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Ethridge; parents, Rodge and Freddie Hodgins; sister, Ruth Hodgins; brothers, Curtis Hodgins, Max Hodgins and Kline Hodgins; and sisters-in-law, Virginia Hodgins and Ivonne Hodgins.
