A private memorial service for Mrs. Edith Ann Cook will be held at a later date.
Mrs. Edith Cook, age 81, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at Baptist Anderson Regional Center surrounded by her loved ones. Edith was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. John and Edith had been married for 65 years this past May. They spent many loving years together and never spent time apart. If you saw Edith, you saw John right there by her side. Later in life, Edith became John's caregiver. She loved him more than anything in the world.
Edith enjoyed spending time with her family and really loved being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had many hobbies such as camping and cooking but especially enjoyed crocheting.
Mrs. Edith was a longtime dedicated member at Northcrest Baptist Church. She loved going to Church and she loved worshipping with her Church family. When they were able, they were faithful in attending all services. Even when they were homebound, they continued to watch all services through live streaming.
Mrs. Edith was loved by so many friends and family and will be dearly missed.
Edith is survived by her husband, John Cook; children, Johnny Cook (Angie) and Paige McDonald; grandchildren, Phillip McDonald (Alana), Morgan McDonald (Tim Davis), and Kimberly Cook; great-grandchildren, Simmons McDonald and Manny McDonald, and special family, Kim McDonald.
Mrs. Cook is preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Edith "Bobbie" Simmons.
Mrs. Edith was a faithful supporter of the Gideons International Bibles. The family requests that in her honor, friends make memorial donations to The Gideon International at SendTheWord.org.
