Edward Eddie Bishop

Funeral services for Mr. Edward “Eddie” Bishop will begin Monday, July 9, 2108 at 2:00 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home with Rev. Jackie Strebeck officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery in the Martin Community with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Bishop, age 94, of Meridian, passed away Friday, July 6, 2018 at Rush Foundation Hospital of Meridian.

Mr. Bishop was a very proud Veteran of World War II. He was retired from the Highway Department as a surveyor; Mr. Eddie also worked at the Jimmie Rogers Museum for years. He will also be remembered for loving his Lord and Savior and his family.

Mr. Bishop is survived by his children, Linda Smith, Michael Bishop (Mary), Vicki Ward (C.K.), Sandy Aycock, David Bishop (Janice) and Mark Bishop (Annette); grandchildren, Robin Erb, Christie Owens, Neil Bishop, Kevin Bishop, Ken Ward, Dawn Fredrick, Richard Goforth, John Goforth, Jessica Welch, Brittany Bishop, Tomika Porter, Porsha Bishop, And Felecia Bishop; and 19 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Jean Dollar Bishop; sons, Robert Randall Bishop; Parents, Edward Delmon and Pearl Petersen Bishop; and sister, Lois Patton.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Goforth, Ken Ward, Neil Bishop, Kevin Bishop, Wesley Bishop and John Goforth.
