Edward "Gene" Hogan Graveside services for Edward "Gene" Hogan will be held Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at 2:00 at Bucatunna Baptist Church Cemetery, with Reverends Dennis Robinson and Derrick Simmons officiating. Burial will be in Bucatunna Baptist Church Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mr. Hogan, 74, of Meridian, died, Sunday, February 21, 2010 at his residence. While serving in the U.S. Air force, Mr. Hogan was awarded several accommodations. He worked at NAS Meridian and had at total of 33 years federal service. Mr. Hogan was a Mason, Scottish Rite and Shriner. He was also an avid golfer. Survivors include his wife, Wanda Hogan of Meridian; son, Mike Hogan of Meridian; daughter, Robin Polk and her husband Dale of Collinsville; grandsons, Patrick and Sean Hogan; granddaughter, Kaitlin Polk; great-granddaughter, Sydney Hogan; sisters, Eulesta Bryant of Roanoke, VA; Edith Mae Patterson and her husband Sonny of Lyndhurst, VA; and several nieces and nephews.
