Elaine deGraffenried Roberts Graveside service for Elaine deGraffenried Roberts will be held on Wednesday, December 17, 2014, at 2:30 p.m. at Magnolia Cemetery, with Reverend Jack Kern officiating. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Roberts, 78, of Meridian passed away on Sunday, December 14, 2014, at Bedford Care. She was a devoted homemaker and mother. She grew up in Hawkins Memorial Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband of sixty years, Vernon Roberts of Meridian; daughter Lisa Gilmore and husband Dr. James "Jim" Gilmore of Corinth, Mississippi; son, Vernon Roberts, Jr. who works in Tuscaloosa, Alabama; grandchildren, Emily Hart Gilmore of Oxford and Mary Claire Gilmore of Los Angeles, California and sister Ann Robbins of Montgomery, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hugh and Bernice deGraffenried. The family requests memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
