Funeral services for Mrs. Elaine Stephens will begin at 12:00 PM Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home with Rev. Donnie Jacobs officiating. Interment will follow at Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Mrs. Stephens, 79, of Meridian, died February 23, 2024 at her home.

Mrs. Elaine loved tending to her flowers and keeping her yard and home in top shape. She was a loving grandmother who was lovingly referred to as "Moodge." She never met a stranger and had friends wherever she went. "Mooj" enjoyed playing the piano in her spare time and always enjoyed the gift of music. She loved spending time watching birds and enjoying nature around her pond while drinking Mt. Dew or Diet Pepsi. She was a loving mother, who enjoyed making sure her sons were all in line and out of trouble.

Moodge is survived by her loving sons, Jacob Stephens (Lara), Scott Stephens, and Glen Stephens (Vicky). Grandchildren, Jordan Stier (Mathew), Josh Stephens, Luke Stephens, Jacob Stephens, Gabriel Stephens, Aidan Stephens, and Kaitlyn Stephens. Her brothers, Jessie Jacobs and Donnie Jacobs (Patsy), as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Mrs. Stephens is preceded in death by her parents Earl and Thelma Jacobs; her husband Merideth Stephens; her brother, Kenny Jacobs.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.

The Stephens family suggests memorials be made as donations to Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery Fund in lieu of flowers.
