Eldon L. Shirley, Jr. Funeral services for Eldon Shirley, Jr. will be held Saturday, December 27, 2014, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Robert Barham Family Funeral Home with Reverend Eb Fox officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mr. Shirley, 66, of Meridian, passed away Monday, December 22 at Anderson's Regional Medical Center. Eldon was a graduate of Meridian High School and Meridian Community College. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the Army Show Band at Ft. Jackson, South Carolina. He was an avid motorcyclist and was the Medic/1st Aid Southeast Region Director, Mississippi District Rider Education Director, and Grand Master Rider for the Gold Wing Road Riders Association. He was also a motorcycle instructor for Harley Davidson. Survivors include his wife, Stephanie Gustin Shirley; daughter, Kim Sigl; stepson, Charles Iseke; grandchildren, Christian Sigl, Sydne Graham, Kendon Sigl; 6 great-grandchildren; brothers, Michael Shirley and Rodger Shirley; sister, Regina Aldridge; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eldon L. Shirley, Sr. and Effie Rogers Shirley. The family request memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Pallbearers will be Jerry Culpepper, Lomax Roseamond, Wayne Coley, Ray Hoyt, Larry Nicolson, David Mozingo, Sonny Miller, and Bobby Bryant.
