Elizabeth "Beth" Ann Culpepper

Funeral services celebrating the life of Ms. Elizabeth “Beth” Ann Culpepper will begin at 2:30 on Saturday, August 15, 2026 at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home, with Bro. Ben Jones and Bro. Shannon Mathis officiating. Burial will follow at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive guests from 1:30 until 2:15 prior to the service on Saturday. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Ms. Culpepper, 71, of Meridian passed away on August 11, 2026 at her residence surrounded by her family.

Elizabeth was born on October 7, 1954 in Tupelo, MS to the late Henry Demar and Mary Faye Harper Culpepper. Beth served in the medical field for more than 40 years as a medical transcriptionist. She took great pride in her work and was known for her dedication and commitment.

Beth loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed working in her yard. She found joy in the simple things of life and took pride in caring for the things around her. Her home, her yard, her work, and her family were all expressions of the faithful and caring person she was.

Although Beth never had a husband or children of her own, she loved her nieces and nephews as if they were her own children. Her family was precious to her, and she remained a faithful and loving presence in their lives. She gave her love freely and created a bond with her family that will continue long after her passing.

Beth faithfully attended Gateway Church in Lauderdale, and her faith in God was an important part of who she was.

Though she will be deeply missed, the love she gave and the example she left behind will remain in the hearts of those who knew her.

Her family finds comfort in knowing that her earthly work is finished and that she is now resting in the presence of the Lord she faithfully served.

She will be loved, remembered, and missed until we meet again.

She is survived by her sister, Wanda Swain (Tommy); nieces and nephews, Brandi Deavers (Dennis), Debbie Bishop (Kevin), Kellie Hasty (Justin); great-nieces and nephews, Makenna Lannan (Brian), Kristyn Bishop, Hannah, Harmon, Hank, and Huck Hasty; and one great great-niece Adileigh Lannan; uncle, Edwin Harper; one aunt, Violet “Sister” Roberson; and her very close friends, Janet and Paul Brown.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Pallbearers will be Dennis Deavers, Kevin Bishop, Justin Hasty, Harmon Hasty, Brian Lannan, and Paul Brown.

In addition to flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society in Ms. Culpepper’s memory.

Her family wants to extend a special thank you to Dr. Defatta, Accent Care Hospice Group, and all of the wonderful care givers that provided empathetic and compassionate care throughout this difficult time. Your extraordinary patience, skill, and gentle comfort made a profound difference in Beth’s final chapter.
