Elizabeth "Jackie" Moffett

Funeral services for Elizabeth “Jackie” Moffett will be held Friday, December 27, 2019, at 12:00 PM at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home, with Bro. Doug Goodman and Bro. Mike Everett officiating. Burial will be held at Union Baptist Church Cemetery.

Ms. Jackie Moffett, age 84, of Meridian went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Sunday, December 22, 2019. She had her children at her side and took her last earthly breath in the first minute of the song Amazing Grace.

She was a long time member of New Hope Baptist Church. She loved her flowers and garden and enjoyed spending time on her front porch swing visiting with friends and neighbors. She will be truly missed by her family and friends and all that knew her.

Survivors include her children, Donna Moffett and Mitchell Moffett (Teresa); grandchildren, Laura Moffett and Brandi Heathcock (Jimmy Don); 3 great-grandchildren, Noah, Rylan and Allie Katherine Heathcock; 3 sisters, Betty Harris, Hilda Hatten and Gaye Fitzgerald; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; special friends, Gwen Carmichael and Merlyn Lewis; caretaker, Michelle Dunn.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilburn Moffett; parents, Arthur and Laura Pogue and several brothers and sisters.

Pallbearers will be Wesley Lewis, Jim McDuffie, Jeff Moffett, Cotten Moffett, Scott Sollie and Tim Sollie.

Honorary Pallbearer will be special nephew, C.W. McLemore.
