Services for Ella Lafferty, 89 will be held Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home with Dr. Larry Reynolds and Rev. Lewis Lafferty officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Homer in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be Monday, September 5, at 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Mrs. Lafferty went to be with the Lord Friday, September 2. She died at Anderson's Hospitial. She was born and raised in Wayne County, Mississippi. She later moved to Meridian and had resided there until her passing. She was a homemaker enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and cooking. She enjoyed doing things for her family. She loved and was loved by all who came in contact with her. Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy. She attended Cotton Heights Freewill Baptist Church and loved her church family. Survivors include her son, Harrell Lafferty and his wife, Paulette of Butler, Al.; daughter, Linda Robinson and her husband, Jim of Meridian; son Lewis Lafferty and his wife Charlotte of Flowood; daughter, Sonja Jacoby and her husband Rick of Meridian; nine grandchildren: Jeff Laferty, Deena White, Misty Gibson, Ray Burgett, Nick Lafferty, Keith Jacoby, Kayla Jacoby, Denise Willard, and Archie Godwin; and six great-grandchildren: Haley White, Kennedy White, Cameron Gibson, Tyler Burgett, Dylan Burgett, and Micah Willard. She was preceded in death by her husband, Burnis Raymond Lafferty; parents, Luke and Clara Sanderson; brothers, Frank and Robert Snaderson; sister, Earnestine Parnell; and daughter-in-law, Doris Lafferty. Pallbearers will Jeff Lafferty, Ray Burgett, Keith Jacoby, Bob West, Paul Holyfield, and John Davis.
