Elsie May Glenn

Private Graveside service for Elsie Glenn will be held Saturday, May 9, 2020, at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, with Pastor Curlee Coleman officiating, burial to follow. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.

Ms. Elsie Glenn, age 75, of Meridian passed away Thursday, April 30, 2020 at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS.

On August 9,1944, Elsie May Cline was born to Genevia Thomas Cline and Sammie George Cline of Macon, Mississippi. Elsie attended high in Macon, MS where she received her high school diploma.

In 1962, Elsie moved to Chicago, IL with her husband Windell Glenn where they raised their two children. Elsie worked hard long hours at M&M Mars for fourteen years. After leaving M&M Mars, Elsie and her husband decided to move back to Mississippi where she began her six years of employment with Pilliard Factory. Lastly before retirement, she gave twenty years of hard work and dedication to East Mississippi Mental Health Hospital where she served as a Mental Health Technician.

Her hobbies included playing bingo and going on casino trips which she truly enjoyed with her friends.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories of her husband of 55 years Windell Glenn; her two sons, Frederick Glenn (Linda) and Alonzo Glenn (Linda); three grandchildren, Trinity Glenn, Katie Glenn, and Tyler Glenn. 13 siblings: James Cline of Chicago, IL; Ida Brewer of Lombard, IL; Jessie Cline (Alma) of Jackson, MS; Eddie DeLoach (Glenda) of Hattiesburg, MS; Don Cline (Irma) of Chicago, IL; Willie Cline (Cynthia) of Canton, MS; Larry Cline (Rhonda) of Ellicott City, MD; Myrtle Cline of Chicago, IL; Annie Cline of Chicago, IL; Allie Cline of Chicago, IL; Steven Cline (Ida) of Madison, MS; Evelyn Cline Davis of Jackson, MS and  Darryl Cline of Jackson, MS.  She leaves a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, Sammie George Cline and Genevia Cline and one brother, Reginald Cline.
