E.R. “Joe” Melton

Funeral services for Joe Melton will be held Saturday, November 26, 2016, at 11:30 a.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home with Brother Buddy Ables officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Mr. Melton, 65, formerly of Conley, Georgia, passed away November 21 at The Oaks.

Joe was an avid racecar fan and old car restoration enthusiast.

Mr. Melton is survived by his daughter, Heather (Daniel) Lyttle of Gibsonton, Florida; sisters, Nancy McElhenney of Toomsuba, Peggy (Harold) Mazingo of Meridian, and Susan (Leo) Sewell; niece, Patty McElhenney of Toomsuba, and nephews, Byron Parten of Snellville, Georgia, and Tony (Magan) Reede of Enterprise, Alabama.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ray Melton and mother, Catherine Griffin.
